1. Manufacturing Methods: (a)3-(Diethylamino) phenol and Phthalic anhydride ondensation, alkali fusion, with sulfuric acid acid solution, and using hydrochloric acid crystallization, (b) 2-(3,6-Dichloro-9H-xanthen-9-yl) benzoic acid and Diethylamine in pressure reaction (BP 960088), then made C.I. Basic Violet 10 free base.

2. Properties and Applications: Soluble in water and ethanol for blue light red, with a strong fluorescence, slightly soluble in Acetone, soluble in Cellosole. In concentrated sulfuric acid for yellow brown, and have a strong green fluorescent, dilution after big red, then to blue light red and orange. Dye aqueous sodium hydroxide to join after heating is rose red flocks. Mainly used in oil, candles, rubber, plastic and transparent paint color.
