Kaixiang Chemical has successfully produced qualified methanol, and the BDO unit is starting up!

On April 21, Kaixiang Chemical's methanol plant started paralleling gas, marking the successful completion of the defect elimination and maintenance task ahead of schedule.

Previously, in order to solve the shortcomings and defects that affect the long-term stable operation of the device and ensure the safe long-term operation of the next stage, Kaixiang Chemical stopped the vehicle on April 1 and started a 22-day defect elimination maintenance.

Before the overhaul, Kaixiang Chemical and various departments held a defect elimination mobilization meeting in time to clarify the significance, tasks and responsibilities of this defect elimination. At the same time, 385 maintenance items were identified, including key maintenance items such as ammonia compressors and boilers. During the maintenance period, the combat personnel of various departments and the external maintenance personnel took the initiative to clarify the maintenance tasks, maintenance procedures and specific measures, grasp the maintenance progress, and pay attention to the quality of the maintenance to ensure the smooth completion of various elimination tasks. On the eve of the start-up, under the premise of taking good safety measures, all departments and offices are guided by the start-up plan. Under the unified command and coordination, the operators of each section verify and confirm the flow, temperature, pressure, and liquid level one by one according to the start-up process and steps. Real-time monitoring of changes in parameters, etc., with tacit cooperation between various sections, and timely handling of various difficult problems during the driving process to ensure the smooth progress of the driving.

At present, the Kaixiang chemical production system has successfully produced qualified methanol, and the BDO unit is also in the process of starting up, and it is expected to produce qualified 1,4-butanediol soon.
